This is the official interpretation:- Permanent driver's license with experience of not less than 1 year, not containing marks on significant offenses. Holders of driving licenses issued in the UK must present a driving license with a photograph. If the text of your driver's license is not written in Latin (for example, Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese), you will need to show both international and national driving licenses. In the event that a driver's license is issued in a country that is not a party to the international convention on road traffic, an official translation must be attached to them. When renting within the EU, customers from countries outside the EU must also present an international driving license.
